A look back at the welcome for the new 2024 residents!
On Saturday 21 September 2024, the Communauté de Communes du Quercy Rouergue et Gorges de l'Aveyron (CCQRGA) welcomed 17 new residents during a convivial afternoon dedicated to their integration. Whether they come from the capital, other French regions or foreign countries such as England, Germany and the Netherlands, these new arrivals have chosen to settle in the area for professional reasons, the quality of life or to be closer to their families.
Hosted by the Éwé association, the day began with a botanical walk along the banks of the Aveyron at Saint-Antonin, providing an opportunity to learn how to identify local edible wild plants. The group then headed to Le Bazart for a cooking workshop using the day's harvests, followed by a guided tour of the Tiers-Lieu and a look at the many activities on offer.
The event ended with a tasting of the dishes prepared, in a warm atmosphere conducive to exchanges and the creation of links. It was the perfect way to promote integration and exchange local tips.
If you missed this event, stay tuned for the next welcome session in 2025!
Do you want to settle in the QRGA?
Every year, many French people choose to move to the countryside in search of more space and nature. They want to adopt a different way of life, often guided by the need to give a new meaning to their lives, both personally and professionally: changing careers, gaining independence, refocusing on the family, taking time to live, enjoying a more peaceful environment, etc. This choice also allows them to seize real professional opportunities, whether they are starting a business, finding a job or considering a career change.
Maybe now's the time for you too!
