Lacapelle-Livron<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Lacapelle-Livron, a small rural community with a population of 183, is made up of two very distinct villages: Lacapelle-Livron and Saint-Peyronis. These two villages are separated by a main road and a fish-filled river: the Bonnette.<\/p>

The village of Lacapelle-Livron, with its rich historical past, boasts the well-preserved remains of a Templar commandery founded towards the end of the 11th century, flanked by a Romanesque church and a 13th-century bell tower. This old village stretches along a ledge overlooking the valley and ends on a plateau offering a vast panorama. Along the way, you'll come across a 14th-century covered market hall and the 15th-century chapel of Notre Dame des Gr\u00e2ces, an extremely elegant building also covered in slate roofs, beautifully situated on the edge of the plateau. On the limestone plateau, the village is surrounded by a mix of ancient and modern buildings. Despite the decline in the number of farmers, the land is still used for agricultural purposes.<\/p>

The village of Saint-Peyronis, on the other side of the Bonnette, is made up of clay-limestone soils, where there is still a large, young farming population and some recent craftsmen have settled.<\/p>

Lacapelle-Livron is a quiet, warm and welcoming village, where farmers, craftsmen, restaurant owners, retired people and holidaymakers live side by side in a friendly atmosphere, not forgetting the many young couples who live in the village but go out to work.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
