The village has all the necessary amenities: small shops, medical centre, school and leisure centre on the banks of Lake Parisot. The commune is also committed to a policy of affordable housing, offering low-rent housing and building plots at affordable prices. Parisot also boasts a lively community life, with sporting activities, a festival around the lake and an international art exhibition in the home.<\/p><p>Parisot is the birthplace of the famous La Valette family, whose most illustrious member, Jean de la Valette, born at Ch\u00e2teau de Labro and Grand Master of the Order of Malta, is the founder of La Valette, the capital of the island of
