The Quercy Rouergue Gorges de l'Aveyron community of communes is looking for an architect

The QRGA (Quercy Rouergue Gorges de l'Aveyron) community of municipalities in Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val is recruiting an architect to carry out construction and refurbishment studies (ERP and tertiary sector) and to organise and monitor projects as in-house project manager.

24-month fixed-term contract from 01/01/2023 to 31/12/2024

Part-time position: 24 hours a week

Missions

  • Assisting the local authority in defining needs upstream of projects, in collaboration with the departments concerned
  • Studying the spatial, technical and financial feasibility of projects, including for municipalities that have joined the service pooling scheme, prior to the award of project management contracts
  • Designing in-house projects (refurbishment and construction of public buildings owned by the communauté de communes), in particular the development of a third-party centre in the medieval town centre of Caylus.
  • Drawing up sketches and preliminary design studies, as well as applications for planning permission
  • Carrying out project studies and drawing up documents for consultation with contractors
  • Analysing companies' bids and assisting the local authority in awarding works contracts
  • Ensuring the financial and technical monitoring of works contracts and the monitoring of sites through to handover

Skills required

  • Master construction and building renovation techniques, particularly for older buildings
  • Be familiar with the regulations in the areas concerned (building code, labour code, public procurement code)
  • Proficiency in drawing software: Autocad (2D), Sketchup Pro and office tools
  • Mastering the management of works involving separate trades
  • Understanding public procurement procedures
  • Knowing how to implement the regulations applicable in ERP buildings
  • Writing skills
  • Analytical skills, autonomy, rigour and responsiveness
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to listen and diplomacy
  • Organisational skills and initiative
  • Sensitivity to heritage and environmental issues

Terms and conditions

  • Experience in a similar position in a local authority or architectural practice is desirable
  • Training as an HMONP, DPLG or equivalent architect (able to be registered with the Ordre des Architectes)
  • Place of work: communauté de communes headquarters, place de la mairie, 82 140 Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, France
  • Travel within the inter-communal area for activities (vehicles available)
