A third place in Caylus

A Tiers Lieu is a hybrid space where you can chat, tinker and learn. It's a place where people, uses, ways of doing things and ways of thinking meet.

It's a place open to all, dedicated to bringing residents together and forging new links between them by cultivating conviviality and good living together.

In Caylus, the Tiers Lieu has been designed like a Swiss Army knife, bringing together a range of services to complement the FabLab and the France Services offices. A cultural component has been added with new services: a room for inter-communal associations, a meeting space, a stage area that can be used for conferences, screenings and shows, and accommodation for artists. These spaces are currently being designed by a working group made up of elected representatives, technicians and members of the public.

A second, enlarged working group will include a larger number of local stakeholders. Open to anyone wishing to take part in the project, this group will interact with the first working group throughout the 18-month consultation period. The FabLab team will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

The Tiers Lieu in Caylus is a crossroads for exchange, and aims to become a place of creation, innovation and learning, where local people can come together to build the region of tomorrow.

La Fabrique

The Fabrique de Caylus is a department of the QRGA Community of Communes. Its mission is to develop the creativity and autonomy of individuals through the sharing of knowledge, techniques and skills. La Fabrique de Caylus works to pass on knowledge in all areas of human creativity. It follows in the footsteps of the pioneers behind the first FabLabs, whose philosophy of doing, undoing and redoing to learn by doing has gradually spread around the world. The Fabrique is a space that provides citizens, schools, associations and businesses with machines and tools to prototype/make just about anything they want.

A team of instructors is on hand all year round to support you, train you in the use of the machines and help you realise your projects.

Whether it's technology, computers, arts or crafts, La Fabrique de Caylus is at the crossroads of exchange, conviviality and innovation.

The C.R.E

(Economic Resources Centre)

This centre is part of the policy of welcoming and attracting visitors that the QRGA Community of Communes has been implementing since 2010 as part of the Massif Central call for projects. Since 2016, it has been intended to become an epicentre for the development of the QRGA region.

The offices of the France Services branch are there, as well as business premises for rent (individual offices and open space) in response to an identified need. As well as offering property, the idea is also for tenants to be able to benefit from shared services such as a multi-function copier, a meeting room or a cleaning service... Above all, this place combines a professional environment with a friendly atmosphere.
