Puylagarde
The ancient fortified town of Puylagarde, which still boasts a castle, a well and the Rue des Anglais, benefits from its proximity to the main Caussade-Villefranche-de-Rouergue traffic artery, without the nuisance. It is the highest commune in Tarn-et-Garonne (425m).
Puylagarde is an active village with its associations, craftsmen, multi-service shops, National Stud station, shooting range and, above all, its village hall. With a capacity of 400, a dance floor and a fully-equipped kitchen, it is used every weekend and often during the week for lottos, weddings, general meetings, meals, gymnastics classes and so on.
The commune is ideal for walking, cycling and horse-riding, with its many signposted footpaths. In Lugan, beneath century-old cedars, you'll find a pre-Romanesque chapel with rounded corners, built in the late 10th century.
