Receive assistance for your purchase
an electrically-assisted bicycle

As part of the PCAET (2017) and the Ecological Transition Contract (2019), Pays Midi-Quercy is pursuing its intention to support the communities of communes in developing active mobility and encouraging residents to use bicycles for their daily, local and leisure travel.

If you too would like to support more sustainable mobility by buying an electrically-assisted bicycle, you should know that you can benefit from subsidies from the French government and the Occitanie region:

  • Mobility eco-cheque: To encourage more people to cycle, the Region is offering a mobility eco-cheque to encourage individuals to buy an electrically-assisted bicycle. The €200 grant can be used in conjunction with government grants.
  • Electrically-assisted bicycle bonus: the amount of State aid supplements the aid allocated by the Occitanie Region and may not exceed €200.

The Midi-Quercy region lend an electric bike!

In 2015-2016, the French Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy launched a call for projects to mobilise 200 "Positive Energy Territories for Green Growth" to give a real boost to encouraging concrete action to help mitigate the effects of climate change, so that France sets an example at the Paris climate conference (2015).

In order to support all creative and innovative projects, the government has provided the PETR PMQ with financial support of €2,000,000 over 2015-2016.

Pays Midi-Quercy has invested to encourage greener mobility, notably by purchasing 8 electric bicycles for use by local authorities and professionals. This initiative is helping to reduce Pays Midi-Quercy's carbon footprint.

Objectives:

  • Reducing greenhouse gas emissions and reliance on fossil fuels in our region as far as possible
  • Encourage new habits with the loan of electric bikes, with a view to a more sustainable future.

The practice

  • I am a passenger:
    - I'm "2.0", I launch the application and see the drivers around me.
    - I'm vintage, I'm on my way to a stop with my destination card. A word of advice: if you want to hitchhike without waiting, adopt the Stop Attitude! That means: a stop on the go, a visible destination card, friendly dress and posture, and confidence!

  • I am a driver:
    - I'm "2.0", so before I set off, I launch my app to see if any hitchhikers are going to the same place as me, or just make a slight diversions with a quick stop.
    - I'm a vintage driver, so when I'm on my way to work, I look at Le Pouce to share my car...

Sharing

"Rezo Pouce is a community that likes to share... We share tips and tricks with you, but yours are also, and above all, welcome. Videos, photos, emails, all forms are accepted".
