Ginals

The municipality covers an area of 24.2 km² and had a population of 201 at the last population census.

Ginals is unusual in that it has no main town, with its inhabitants scattered in small hamlets throughout the commune. The landscape of Ginals is full of contrasts between plateaux and valleys, with a large number of streams running through it, making it a magnificent place for long walks, horse-riding or mountain biking.

In the heart of the Seye valley, the town is home to Beaulieu Abbey, a National Historic Monument and world-renowned centre for contemporary art.

In Ginals, the main activity is farming and livestock rearing.
